Frangipani and Patchouli

Last night while looking for an email address for a friend, I was given the fragrance of the 'Frangipani' and that always reminds me of Australia because the garden where we lived was full of them. This flower has the most incredible fragrance.

Apparently in Sri Lanka it is called the 'Temple Tree' and they are associated with Hindu and Buddhist cultures. In Hindu mythology, there is a saying 'Hey Champa you have three qualities color, beauty and fragrance, but the only thing you lack is that honeybees never sit on you'. The champa flower is the Indian Magnolia, and not plumeria. [1] Amazing because the name of the lady is Magnolia!

The other fragrance that I was given later in the evening was 'Patchouli' and it is supposed to be good for getting rid of termites. [2] When I spoke to Magnolia's brother he was complaining about itching due to some kind of bug. In those circumstances the person could try wearing patchouli oil, and see how they get on with it.

Qualities of Frangipani. [3]

I haven't worked with 'Patchouli' oil, and apparently it is good for 'depression and anxiety'. Regenerates skin cells and is good for water retention. Hence, it would be a good essence to try on the sole of the feet for edema as well. Although I have found 'Tea Tree' very effective for edema.

After I posted the above I had an energetic pain in the right eye, so these oils would be good for people with any eyesight issues.
