YERUSHALAYIM SINGING

Published on Sep 14, 2013
According to a Kabbalistic Jewish belief, it was Moses who split the Red Sea. However, another Midrash claims that it was Miriam's singing and dancing that split it. In this original production for the Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival, six women, musicians and artists come together for a ceremonial performance in tribute to the female voice. Together, they will raise their heart-felt voices heavenwards in an attempt to split the Red Sea again.

Participants: Leah Shabat, Galia Hai, Liat Zion, Yael Meller, Roni Parnas, Eti Guri
