UK Healthcare 14th in Europe

In the 2014 Euro Healthcare Consumer Index that ranked 37 countries the UK came 14th in the quality of its healthcare. Countries were ranked according to several factors report the Telegraph. 'Patient rights and information disclosure; accessibility and waiting times for treatment; outcomes; the range of services offered; illness prevention and access to pharmaceuticals'.

"The Netherlands is the best country in Europe to live for healthcare, a new report has found".

After the Netherlands, comes Switzerland, followed by Norway, Finland and Denmark.

Its true that in the UK you can wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment with a GP and I can appreciate why that has put a heavy burden upon A&E.

Its interesting that you can mention health conditions like Sjogrens to British doctors and consultants and they just look at you blankly. You can go to see doctors for back conditions and they don't even examine you properly and don't even think about them taking a proper in-depth case history on your long term health.

The same happens when you are asked to go for a physical check up - and my view of that is that some of the NHS services have been outsourced and private companies are providing a lot of services to the NHS UK PLC.

Another example if you are sent to see a foot consultant, you don't get to see a proper foot consultant, a proper Podiatrist should be able to look at and examine your feet and be able to tell you what health conditions are happening in the body just by looking at and examining your feet.

Also interesting that while I was in Israel in 2006, I met a group that had been sent to Israel due to their skin disease; and the Danish man shared that Danish healthcare provided a month in Israel for those patients every single year. Incredible assistance and help those Danish with chronic skin disease were receiving, I was so happy for those Danish people that were receiving intensive care in Israel.

People with serious skin conditions should really live in a hotter climate than the UK, as they require a lot of sun to the body, I remember meeting a Welsh woman in London and she had moved to Spain due to her skin disease. It completely cleared up when she was living in Spain getting the sun to her body, and it would return if she came back to the UK.

I also recommend Reiki healing training courses for skin conditions - as I have personally had a lot of success with it with students with skin conditions.
