HAMATH

I just looked at another local incident at a mansion in the English countryside, someone wrote that travellers had done it, (I didn't feel that they had done it) and it reminded me of the prophecy that they will build mansions and not live in them.

After that the heavenly Father spoke and he said, 'Hamath' and we find the word in Strong's Hebrew spelt 'Chamath' and its a place name in Syria. 'Hamath' means 'fortress' (fort) and in most recent decades it has been home to the 'Muslim Brotherhood'. It is written that it was a prosperous area in 1500BC.

It is known that the ancient Greeks referred to it as 'Emathous'.

Hamath is mentioned in Zechariah 9. The prophecy predicted that 'the word of the LORD is against the land of Hadrak and will come to rest on Damascus-for the eyes of all people and all tribes of Israel are on the LORD-and on Hamath too, which borders on it'.
