THE GIG ECONOMY

So now the Telegraph is writing about the 'GIG' economy of the rise in the numbers of the self-employed.

Did you know that Cameron is pushing for introducing that more paperwork is carried out by the self-employed and they will have to provide quarterly accounts and taxes. Self-employment isn't what it used to be, although in my experience, most of the self-employed work harder than the employed for less than the employed. Also two out of every three employed jobs are going to immigrants.

Just look at the people retiring from the public sector with pensions worth more than a million. That's why they went into the public sector, for the long term financial security. Now there is reports those same people that took retirement, are now going back to work for the agencies that serve the public sector for even higher pay. That's a gig isn't it.

And the department of education can't get enough quality teachers going into the profession, so they're offering people who are willing to teach a golden hand shake to go in. Plus a corporate package that includes private healthcare for teacher and family. Loads of incentives being offered to attract people to take on the 'stress' of teaching classes whereby 67% of the children don't speak English.

For goodness sake, who would wish to teach a class of children that speak numerous languages, but not the language that the teacher speaks? What person in their right mind would even consider taking on a class of children like that? That's diversity and multi-culturalism for you, new teachers, are not willing to take on that chore when there are so many other careers on offer.

No money on this planet, is worth that amount of 'stress', on your health that can change your DNA, now proven scientifically.

So that's a conundrum isn't it, teachers that don't wish to teach a class of foreigners because it has implications for your health. That's why the department of health and eduction is offering private healthcare for the teacher and family. Seriously, if teachers wished to teach foreigners they would move abroad, as they've always done, at least then they have the added bonus of a higher quality life in the sunshine with lower taxes.

Children must be able to speak English prior to starting school, and if we take the educational evidence into account from other European countries, then children should not start school until the age of 7. If parents can't teach their own children English in the first seven years of their lives, then they should not be admitted to the UK, or allowed to live in this country.

Also I knew people that stopped being self-employed, and running their own businesses, and went back into employment. Due to the fact that they didn't have to work such long hours, with a huge amount pressure, for a lot less. Some people seem to think that small business owners earn enough to see them through for the rest of their lives. Most small business owners that managed to get through the recession during the late 80's-early 90's, were lucky if they managed to keep a hold of their homes, and I can assure you that a lot didn't.

So don't let them talk your children in to self-employment.
