The number one story at the BBC today is the plight of the Cavendish banana and the possibility that it could cease to exist due to it being on the brink of existence. Its an elaborate story to encourage the development of a genetically modified variety. If the Cavendish banana goes, then surely its meant to go. No GM food for children.
