20th March, 2014, 'Afghan police station attack leaves at least four dead'. It happened in the city of Jalalabad. On Tuesday there was also an attack in Northern Afghanistan that killed 17 civilians, including women and children, injuring more than 60. The attacks come as Afghans prepare to hold presidential elections on the 5th of April. The Taliban have vowed a campaign of violence to disrupt the vote.' KABUL in the news again today. Insurgents are attacking the headquarters of the Afghan election commission in Kabul, a week before the presidential election, police say.
