Some new research on the immune system and how the health of your gut can impact upon your bodies response to Covid 19. Research cited initially is from Hong Kong they examined blood and stool samples from patients during and after infection.
The Daily Mail report that "the latest study was observational and is unable to say if Covid -19 changes the gut microbiome, or a weakened microbiome leads to more severe infection. However, a separate study by South Korean researchers, published in Mbio, although only a review, indicates the latter option is most likely."
