GREEK "Animal Cruelty"

In this video Valia Orfanidou from The Orphan Pet in Greece explains the Greek crisis in animal welfare.  The "abandonment of animals", and the "cruelty", experienced by animals in Greece.

Yet, the EU doesn't enforce the law and address it with the Greek government. So what's the point of being in the EU then? No point at all is there if people are allowed to treat animals like it. I'm fully aware that Greeks don't like being called out on anything. However, Valia has the right to do so.

In the UK it's different, it's often the case that people care more about their animals than they do about people. We've got more rescue homes for animals in the UK than we have healing centres for the poor. We have veterans and young people homeless on the streets, not abandoned dogs. We have young people drugged to the hilt, whilst the animals eat the best quality food available.

So what is happening in Greece should be known, people should be made aware, animals have rights too. The right to be treated fairly and humanely.

As Jesus said, "LAST DAYS".

Perhaps Valia could run a campaign on "Philotimo" in Greece and what that means for the animals.

"Philotimo is part of the essence of being Greek. Philotimo to the Greek is like breathing. A Greek is not a Greek without it. He might as well not be alive". Thales
