What the media didn't show you yesterday. Diwali festival of light in Trafalgar Square began yesterday.
The organiser claims to be British-South African (she doesn't sound British, you can always tell by the accent) and Sadiq Khan gave permission for this to begin yesterday on the same day as armistice. Has far as I'm aware Diwali actually begins on the 12th, it is also Remembrance Day today when the King and others lay their wreaths at the Cenotaph. Yet, again, we see that Sadiq Khan has no respect for those that gave their lives for this country to have the freedom that our people enjoy.
I like the week of Diwali celebrations. However, they shouldn't be allowed to begin on our streets until after this weekend. It looks like there is going to be a change in the law.
