CPS REFORM REQUIRED

I agree with this article on the CPS that requires reform, CPS are like the "woke" civil servants. When CPS refuse to prosecute cases, the police refuse to arrest. There is also the middle men too, the police in charge of their team that stand in the way. A few times I was told by the police that their sergeant would not allow them to pursue the case further. So do we have "woke" sergeants too? They've all had plenty of diversity training.

It is also often the case that the officers in the control room when you report incidents don't know the law.

For instance I reported a case earlier in the year and it was about "Obstruction of the Highway", the officer in the control room wrote the incident down has "Harassment". I provided the vehicle registration number and information on what happened, the police did not inform me on what action they'd taken against the the woman that broke the law by obstructing the highway so that no cars could pass her either way. I even have the photographic evidence of her parked in the middle of a very small road.  I think a hefty fine would have been appropriate to stop her doing it again. Traffic police could have issued it.

Anyway, have a read of this article about CPS being an issue for the government also. No surprise that Keir Starmer from the Labour Party used to be head of the CPS. Is that why CPS is in the state that it is? Or is it because they're running out of prison cells in overcrowded prisons and there is a backlog of court cases due to the lockdowns and junior barrister strikes? In many cases, people who are arrested now won't get to court for a couple of years. Yet, we still have Julian Assange in a high security prison when he hasn't been convicted of anything in a court of law. So how and why does CPS allow that?

The article states that one senior government minister has said this "it is not an open secret that the CPS is unreformed and is in desperate need of radical surgery".
