HENNA HEALTH ALERT!

Many warnings have been issued on-line about tattoos previously, so I wasn't surprised to see this news story about a young girl that had a black henna tattoo done in Turkey while on holiday. The result has been "severe chemical burns from the inking that contained paraphenylenediamine (PPD)  a substance which the BBC says is 'strictly controlled in the European Union."

Mary Bates, from St Albans had to be referred by her doctor to the specialist burns service at the hospital in London.

A henna tattoo in an Islamic country is a definitive no, no!
