Body Intuition - Marinated Anchovies

Well we have been sharing a lot about 'body intuition' and what the body requires at different times in your life. I made some delicious 'soya sauce soup', the other day with lentils and pearl barley. Today, my body intuition is asking for fresh anchovies.



What are the health benefits of fresh anchovies? An oily fish, with a high sodium count. 'An 100g serving of anchovies provides you approximately, 50,000 international units, or IU of vitamin A. Vitamin A as an important role in vision, bone growth, reproduction and cell division. Helps to regulate immune system, promotes health surface linings for the eyes, respiratory, urinary, and intestinal tracts.'  [2] 

Rich in calcium, for healthy bones and teeth. High in potassium crucial for heart function and has a key role in skeletal and smooth muscle contraction. Selenium, important for blood vessels and the arteries. [2]

All in all, those tiny little fish have a huge power of healing nutrients, and I like to eat them fresh. You can eat them with olives, cheese, or just on their own. I eat a few at a time, little an often. A 100g each time I feel drawn to them for good health.

If you wish to ensure that you have the right nutrients at the right time, body intuition is essential.



What else did my body ask for today? My body intuition was drawn to the 'Carrot, ginger and orange smoothie', and ingredients to make carrot cake. So plenty of Vitamin C booster for the next week.
