Mount Pleasant Association

Grandpa worked at Mount Pleasant and sometimes I walked past it to get to junior school. It was in Mount Pleasant that I was bit by a corgi on my left hand, on the way home from school.

Children that lived in the area in the 1950's most went to the same school at a party together.

The presenter of the historical information shares what was being planned when the video was made. He shares with us that the architects and planners didn't even know anything about the historical school. They didn't know of its existence when they were making their plans for the large Royal Mail building site at Mount Pleasant.

However, I am pleased that the small school still exists for the children born in the area. The Mount Pleasant Association have provided this in-depth video.
