HORTICULTURAL THERAPY




Karen Johnson, Director of Outreach Services shares the history, research and her experience with "Horticultural Therapy: Helping Brains Blossom".

At the end of Karen's presentation she shares a lovely quote from Hans Christian Anderson. 

"Just living is not enough", said the butterfly. "One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower". 

The sheer importance of people having nature and the natural environment in their lives. 

In the UK, Thrive UK are running training courses. Thrive is a British charity and their website says that they have nearly 40 years experience utilising gardening to help people with disabilities.

It's a long time ago when I began posting about mushrooms. However, another video about the power of mushrooms. I particularly like mushrooms cooked in butter and garlic, garlic mushrooms. Great for boosting the immune system.
