Saturday's menu included the carrot and coriander soup and a smoothie juiced drink that included half of a small punet of red grapes, two bananas, juice from a half a lemon and a little milk.
Sunday, I had some porridge for breakfast, went back to bed afterwards, as I was suddenly very sleepy. In the evening, a special soup that I have created for pain relief.
JETHIMADH SOUP
It's basically a leek and potato soup with a teaspoon of Jethimadh powder, a teaspoon of fennel seeds, two cloves of garlic. Once cooked, you can sprinkle the individual soup served with some freshly cut chives, and grated mozzarella cheese. Delicious, dipped with a slice of brown seed bread, buttered.
I put in about six small potatoes into a large pan of water, cut up small, for easy and quick cooking. Included two large leeks cut thinly, the garlic, included a little milk when the vegetables were soft, the fennel seeds and Jethhimadh, also known as Mulethi powder. If you like liquorice, then you will like the distinctive favour of this healing soup.
Jethimadh has "Glycyrrhizin", in it, that is proven to be "antiviral", "antimicrobial", "anti-inflammatory". In Chinese medicine it is believed that liquorice "harmonizes" the ingredients in a formula and carries the formula to the 12 regular meridians. It has been traditionally used for rejuvenation, and invigorating. It's also good for the skin that has been impacted upon by operative procedure.
