CITY of TEL DOR

Israeli archaeologists have found an ancient slab of stone inscribed with lines of Ancient Greek, underwater in the area of the City of Dor. The article shares with us that the slab dates to the second century A.D. The underwater site called Tel Dor, is located about 30km south of the city of Haifa.

The inscription identifies a Roman prefect that was in charge of Judea, his name, Gargilius Antiques, another rare find in Israel, that confirms another piece of Israeli history.

Interesting that I kept on seeing visions of doors again this year, and I was involved in antiques in my younger life. The last time that I was in Israel in 2007, I took the train from Haifa to the airport in Tel Aviv. I have happy memories of walking upon the land of Israel, always in my heart.
