HORSE CRISIS UK

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH-yIsHMd1Y

There is a horse crisis in the UK, and the RSPCA say it is due to overbreeding. Some ponies are being sold for £10, and some they can't even give away. Horses are such gentle creatures, that little is done about it.

Now if it was dogs, there would be a national outcry over it. The equine community is quite a small community, and not everyone has room for extra animals. Then there is food and vet bills that people are complaining about, due to the cost of it.

Vets have to train for years, then there is the high cost of premises, staff and running the business, so I'm not surprised their fees are what they are. It's important to remember that a veterinary surgeon is a business person, with a business practice, just like a GP is too.

Health of animals is big business, just like health of people has become so. Ten minutes with a vet costing £200.00, although veterinary nurses could respond to most cases, and a lower rate could be charged.

The other news from the UK is that there has been a huge amount of fish wash up along Marazion beach in Cornwall. The fish are thought to be mackerel, literally thousands of fish.

The same is happening in Novia Scotia.
