Apparently the journalists have been investigating the papers for eight months. This evening there was also a TV programme on it - on British television, although it hasn't been uploaded to youtube yet.
This is some feedback from India that explains the huge undertaking that investigative journalists around the world have been involved in during the last eight months.

I must admit it does remind me of the black lace dream, as what is being disclosed in 11 million documents spans 40 years that the Panama company have been doing business with offshore accounts. This is a huge wind for India and will have a huge impact on many countries.
As the Indian journalists have shared, the investigation will be on-going, and they will share the names, and more of the names that are discovered. Although it sounds like they have gone for the most known names first of all due to the journalists wishing to publish - due to the sheer extent of the operation involved internationally.
It has been an immense undertaking due to the massive amount of data that has had to be examined. 40 years of data is a lot of paperwork. At the end of the black lace dream money was being given to an Asian man. Hence, I've chosen to post the feedback from India.
