CAMERON CHILDREN U-TURN

Ministers have been forced to do a U-turn on testing 4 year olds at school. 4 year olds shouldn't even be at school, let alone being tested. However, it is a win for NUT and the teachers that defended the children vigorously.

We know for a fact that children start school too young, in fact two years too early, and that impacts upon their academic abilities. My son didn't start school until he was five years old and it was still too young. Children should have more time at nursery and with their parents prior to starting school.
