American High Cost Healthcare

Why would anyone wish to migrate to America when their healthcare costs are so expensive.

This writer from San Diego, California moved to Portugal at her own cost and one of her reasons given was the high cost of American healthcare. Shanna Trenholm has arrived in Portugal to live.

When you move to another country, you can't just walk in and stay in a European country unless you are a European. Also when you move to another country, you discover exactly how much you took for granted in your home country.

That is certainly what I experienced in 1998 when my son and I moved to Australia. It was very difficult to get a sponsor to help us to stay in the country, and so we had no choice but to return home to England the following year.

Has Shanna shares in her video interview, she can always go back home if things don't work out for her in Portugal with her new adventure in life.

In fact, many Europeans moved abroad and then came home again. Plus some Europeans that moved to other European countries also came home for healthcare when they couldn't get what they required in the country in which they were living. This painting was gifted to a lovely British family that moved to Portugal, they are farmers. Hence, all of the fruit in the mandala.

Certainly healthcare in some European countries is far more economical than it is in America due to the very high insurance premiums that Americans pay. Also in the interview she mentions how the cost of living in Portugal is far more economical, than America, as she compares the cost of a cup of coffee. Of course when you are a writer with the internet today, it is easy to travel and carry on working with your client base that you can take with you.

One of the issues in the UK is the intent of successive British governments to make our healthcare system the same as America, as the EU has been trying to standardise everything in European countries when they were preparing for TIPP and its corporate globalisation.
