LABOUR ANTI-CAR POLICIES

The anti-car policies that are seeping in appear to be, being pushed by Labour, Lib Dems and the Green party. Many people have heard about Sadiq Khan and ULEZ, and the Together Declaration has been doing a great job of creating greater awareness with their publicity campaigning and events on ULEZ and 15 minute cities.

Today's headline, "Drivers in the UK city outraged by Labour council's war on motorists as car parks ripped up" The Daily Mail report that "the Labour-run council has been accused of harbouring a "visceral hatred of cars and motorists", following their approach to reducing the number of cars on its roads. Birmingham introduced plans to remove thousands of its car park spaces in a bid to reduce how many private petrol and diesel cars roam the streets three years ago, but has come under fire from rival councillors for the 'crazy plan'."

They're planning to do the same in my location, they've already included taking away two car parks in a local plan. Two car parks that disabled people use. Then there is multi-storeys that were built in the 60s and 70s, they weren't built for the heavy weight of SUVs or EV's, like Luton airport, they don't have sprinklers. The council know that they will have to be replaced if they replace them at all.
