Reports are coming in that American Journalist, Gonzalo Lira has died while imprisoned in Ukraine. His dad reports that the American embassy did nothing to help his son after he was arrested. He was in prison for 8 months and 11 days. Gonzalo was one of the people reporting from inside Ukraine since the war began and the Zelenskyy government didn't like the truth being told to the world on social media.
Gonzalo engaged in various interviews with different people in the alternative media spaces and also uploaded his own videos prior to arrest. He was first arrested and then let out on bail, and then arrested again. He was arrested because of his freedom of speech and for making YT videos expressing his freedom of speech. There are no human rights in Ukraine, freedom of speech is a human right, the human right of dissent is also international law. The last videos that Gonzalo uploaded was five months ago.

At the time of his arrest Gonzalo had planned to leave Ukraine and seek political asylum in Hungary, he was arrested at the border. Gonzalo Lira Sr has said "the dictator Zelenskyy is responsible for this tragedy, with the concurrence of the senile American President, Joe Biden."
At the end of the last video that he posted on YT, he asked that if we didn't hear from him again, cause a ruckus. US authorities have confirmed that he died in custody in a pre-trial detention centre in Ukraine.
Three days ago, Gonzalo Lira Sr, he's Chilean and his two children were born in America. He spoke to Alex and Alexander, at The Duran. During the video he tells us that his son was so ill that he couldn't attend the trial on the 23rd December, that he should have been taken to hospital in an emergency clinical care. He should have been taken to ICU. The Ukrainian judge decided to leave him in jail.
