ARAMEAN CHRISTIANS
In 2015, the "World Council of Aramean's" (Syriacs) invited one of the first registered Aramean Christians from Israel to present his statement on behalf of the Aramean people worldwide at the UN in Geneva.

As far as the Aramean's are concerned, they are not Arabs and some of the Aramean Christians do live in Israel and also defend it. Interesting that during their history they also lived in Palmrya and it is written that at one time Palmrya had a Jewish Queen that stood against Rome.

So many people are standing up and saying "We are not Arab", people were forced to speak Arabic, so that the Arabs could call them Arabs. People are re-claiming their heritage and holding onto their cultures, and language, as much has they can. Israel is supporting the Aramean's and their identity, as different people to Arabs.
