Australia's National Interest

At least Australia has got some common sense and are putting their national interest first. The Australian government are blocking Chinese and Hong Kong bidders from taking a controlling stake in the countries largest electricity network due to the possible impact upon national security. The Australian treasurer, Scott Morrison has said that the foreign investment would be 'contrary to national interest'. Indeed it would be, natural resources belong to the people that live upon the land for as long as they live upon it, it doesn't belong to foreign corporations.
