£170M Dentistry Budget Cut

New information released show that GP's average salaries are more than £100,000, their salaries have kept pace better than the salaries of other people. Although GP's in the south west average 22% lower, do they have a better quality of life, or lower overheads?

However, the income of dentists in the UK as 'fallen' by 35% since 2010.

Clearly, the government and its clinical commissioning groups are not aware of how important dental care is, and the impact that it has on other health conditions. How many holistic dentists are involved in the commissioning groups? The government has removed £170 million of direct funding for dentistry. Patients have to pay more, while ministers pay less, says the British Dental Association.

Even pensioners are having to pay for their teeth to be cleaned on a regular basis, at £45 a time.

The Conservatives give it with one hand, and take it back with the other hand.

At the same time, councils are telling doctors that they should tell patients to have more exercise when they have a health crisis. Seriously, what planet are they on?

Some good responses to the article, of course the article is majored on 'Obesity' with its photographs and video. The media like those photographs don't they!

Don't get me started on the poor people that are terminally ill. Cancer patients are being denied drugs that can help with the pain that they're suffering. Seriously, whatever happened to the NHS?
