Archaeology Emmaus Israel

"Archaeologists claim 2,200 year old ruins in Israel could be the remains of the biblical town of Emmaus".

In that film the actor doesn't look like this bust of him found in the ancient Greco-Buddhist city excavations on the border of what is now known as Afghanistan. A friend shared that in the 70s the tribesmen were still talking about the holy man that came to them from Israel.

Bible prophecy says that he left the land of Israel via northern Israel. Scripture also says that he told his closest companions that he had to leave so that the next person would come to help them. Even in the book of Luke that mentions Emmaus, it is written that he said, "I am going to send you what my Father has promised". Luke 24:49

I did find a video of a rabbi telling his members that he came and went 14 times, then when the Jewish rabbi's finally accepted the miracle worker, he turned to them and recited the story of Lot about not going back. For some reason after I had shared that video with others on-line, it was removed by those that uploaded it. Why would they not wish for the people to know the truth?

Scholars appear not to be in agreement about Emmaus, some say the story is symbolic and aligns with the story of Jacob.
