How can these reports be so conflicting and at the same time the Turkish Lira is plummeting!
I've always found the Greek people to be very hospitable - welcoming and protective of their visitors - bearing in mind that Greece depends on tourism! The Greek word "philoxenia" is translated as "hospitality" although it means far more than that!
