'Babies have needs', that is why biblically Christians were referred to as 'Babes in Christ' and Jesus spoke of becoming like little children to enter the kingdom of heaven. Once people heal their 'baby', they don't come from the 'need' of a baby anymore.
There is a big difference between 'essentials' of the heart and 'need' that is 'base.' The relationships based on 'need' only last as long as the 'need' does. Some people are blessed to mature spiritually and emotionally. Some do rise in their consciousness and find out what real love is.
The sacred union with the divine is due to unity in the heart of being. The sacred union with the divine comes to be due to the raising of consciousness. That is why those with a risen consciousness see, hear and experience divinely.
There are different levels of happiness and the reasons for it. In the same way as there are different types of love and reasons for that.
Most people seek happiness outside of themselves especially where relationships are concerned. Take their partner away from them, then they have to look at life and themselves differently. The same often happens when children leave home, due to parents 'attachment' to them.
Historically, we know that people only change when they have no other choice. As an historian once said to me, historically we know, that the people do not change until they have a gun in their garden pointing at their noses!
However, some people would 'rather die than change' and that is the metaphysics of a 'stroke'. It is due to their 'refusal to change', that strokes can manifest. That is why Jesus concentrated on encouraging people to heal their consciousness in the same way that I have tried to encourage them.
Prevention is far easier to do.
