DAVID JONES MESSAGE

Last night as I was dosing off to sleep I was given the name David Jones, has clear as a bell. 

Then in this morning's news, there has been another terrible attack, this time in a shopping mall in Sydney, six killed and 8 injured. Apparently, the man carrying the knife was known to the police.

David Jones was a Welsh merchant and future politician, he emigrated to Australia and founded David Jones, it is the oldest continuously operating department store in the world still trading under its original name. David Jones first opened its doors in 1838. Hence, it is a very significant name in retail in Australia.

The attack happened at the Bondi Junction shopping mall and in this Daily Mail article, it features a tweet sharing that people were hiding in the David Jones store.

Condolences to friends and families of loved ones, love and healing also to the injured that are receiving medical care.

UPDATE 

His name is Joel Cauchi, an Italian-Australian that was living in Queensland prior to moving to Sydney, he was working has an escort for men and women. 

In the CTV film footage you can see him getting something to eat, prior to seriously stumbling. Makes you wonder whether he took any pharmaceuticals with his meal prior to the attack at the mall. 

His parents say that he had been diagnosed at the age of 17, he also had an "obsession" with knives and they would take them away from him. Three years ago he took his knives to a knife sharpener. 

"Obsessions" tend to point to Asperger's, he was also known for drug use, it sounds like he was misdiagnosed. Drug use with big pharma is a lethal combination. From his social media posts it looks like he was lonely due to asking people to go surfing with him, etc etc. 

A brave female police officer carrying a gun was able to neutralise him. At least Australian police officers are allowed to carry a gun.
