TONSILS - ARTHRITIS

Swedish research have identified that people who had their tonsils removed had a 30% higher risk of developing arthritis in old age. "Those who had the procedure while young were around a third more likely to develop a type of chronic inflammatory arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis".

They studied 7,000 people with the disease to examine arthritis risk factors. They were diagnosed between January 2001 and December 2022.

In the 50s and 60s it was fashionable in the medical profession to remove the tonsils of children and we know from the Human Genome Project research that cuts in childhood are the cause of allergies and skin conditions. The brain of a child hasn't fully developed until adulthood at the age of 25.
