DIANA's SOUP

I knew that she liked smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast. In this news report a charity asked people for recipes for a cookery book and the letters have been shared by the Daily Mail.

Diana, our Queen of Hearts wrote that her favourite recipe was a Borscht soup and Maggie Thatcher gave a recipe for her own walnut cake. The soup included beetroot, natural yoghurt, onions, chicken stock, milk, sour cream, salt and pepper.

Beetroot is brilliant for people that have high blood pressure, scientifically proven. In fact, there are more nutrients in the beetroot leaves than there is in the beetroot. So you can put your beetroot leaves on your salads. I grow beetroot although I've had more success in growing the leaves than the beets.
