Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge

Years of drought in California as been followed by huge downpours and it has heavily impacted upon the land and the Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge cutting the Big Sur in two.

News is that it will take a year to replace it and storm damage is being quoted at $50bn, a huge amount of money for any state, even California.

However, maybe Hollywood would like to cough up the money to pay for it, maybe all those celebrities should put their money where their mouths are. How about it Meryl Streep? Have you noticed how quiet those celebrities are when things like this happen? Yea, a lot like to live on the coastlines don't they? You have been warned that the coastlines will be taken by the sea.

Can you even think of it, they called that area that was once native American, a French name, after a visiting French family lived on the land, that's why its called, Pfeiffer Canyon.

Wiki shares that they've found archeological evidence that proves that one of the native American tribes lived in Big Sur from as early as 3500BC. It is also written that in 2010, the Esselen Tribe petitioned for recognition, and they were refused by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

There are a lot more pics of the bridge on this news link.

A "wrecking ball" to the Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge on Monday.
