The Liberal Democrats in the UK have overturned a 16K majority to seize a Tory safe seat in a local by-election win for the Lib Dems. The Tories had held that seat since 1974. This article shares some of the major issues that the voters have. I'm not surprised that property development on green land is a major issue. It is a major issue all over the UK where people love the countryside, voters do not want concrete covering the countryside. The countryside has to be allowed to breathe with our trees, the health of our people and nation depend upon it.
It is surely time that the Tories realised that the people have had enough and that none of their seats are safe seats due to what they've done. It is an historic election defeat for the Tories and an historic election win for Sarah Green and the Liberal Democrats.
