This is a very moving visit to the first Christian Church underground in Jerusalem, Israel. It is 2,000 years old, the first assembly with James the brother of Jesus. In the mikvah where they were baptised. My view is that this also proves the authenticity of the Gospel of Thomas.
The Gospel of Thomas mentions James and that James would be their leader after Jesus had left them.
Gospel of Thomas Saying 12 "The disciples said to Jesus: we know that you will depart from us; who is it that will be great over us? Jesus said to them, wherever you have come, you will go to James the Just, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being".
