People are warned not to dive in head first in the Greek Islands, as tourists have been known to smash their heads open on the rocks.

Milos is just north of the 'Sea of Crete', so people should be able to get a ferry or boat from Crete to Milos. Milos is between Crete and the mainland, so you could also go that route instead. It really depends on your reason for going to the Greek Islands and what you choose to see, and experience.

The Island is famous for its 'Venus de Milo' that is now in the Louvre in France, what is it doing in Paris, France ? Other Greek statues from the Island are also in the British museum.

Obsidian from Milos known to be for at least 15,000 years, that's interesting as one of the spheres that I was compelled to buy in the 90's was an obsidian. There is a lot more information about the Island on this link and interesting that it is close to Kimolos.
