VEGETABLE MESSAGE

When I woke up this morning, I was given the message "VEGETABLES", and that can mean that I have to eat vegetables today.

We are fully aware of the involvement of the EU in British agriculture and how the EU has been controlling our farming community.

When we are looking at vegetables, and gardening, we should also make sure that the local councils keep to their obligations of making sure that there is enough allotment land to meet demand for allotments where people can grow their own food. Especially in these times when so much housebuilding does not include gardens with the bought and rental properties.

In the UK, we have a long history of allotments that goes back to at least 1732. Once upon a time, it was the case that Birmingham was surrounded by allotments and it is written that some still exist today. Under the Acts on Allotments, "a local authority is required to maintain adequate provision of land".

It is written that in 1918, there were around 1,500,000 plots in the UK, the local councils have increasingly eroded the amount of public land that is available to the people, and local people really have to ensure that the councils keep to their commitments to the people.

To ensure that the people have the facility to grow their own food. It is an essential aspect of British life and also a cultural aspect of this nation.

The more house building there has been, the more land for allotments should have been allocated. Also new technology of the 21st century and new farming methodology, should have been allowed for in the land allocated, as we should have room for people to create fish farms for the local community.

It is written that in 2010, China was the largest producer of vegetables, although Spain had the largest yield with Korea. The painting above was for a man with a Spanish heritage and it does have vegetables in it.

When was the last time that you made bread? Bread and home made vegetable soup is delicious.

I especially like a potato, leek and celery soup. You can pack your soups with nutrients. As it is written Elijah and Jesus said to make sure that you have plenty of flour and oil.

What vegetables are you growing, and what would you do if there was ever a food shortage, would you and your family be prepared for that eventuality due to climate change. Ponder upon it!

Millions of Americans are now living off the grid, growing their own food.
