I felt compelled to buy some Castor Oil last week, so let's take a look at this ancient oil that comes from Castor beans, a native plant from India.
It is a source of Vitamin E, Omega-9 fatty acids and Omega 6 fatty acids. Research has shown that Omega-9 has pain relief and anti-inflammatory properties. Its also great for the skin and hair and can be used has a carrier oil too. Like you would use almond oil or any other carrier oil for essential oils. I'm trying it out for external use, although I think my mother gave me this oil orally has a young child.
Science Direct quote "Castor Oil is a unique natural product used in many industries and many types of products. With it's 85-90% content of hydroxy FA ricinoleic acid, castor oil provides this FA at the equivalent of a technical grade of purity, a rare natural phenomenon".

I'm in the UK and bought 100ml from Grapetree for £5.99. I'm incredibly pleased with it, its absolutely ideal for the conditions of the skin, hair and blepharitis.
