Historic London

These photographs are from between 1876-1877. The street life of London.

One of my great grandfathers was a footman on a carriage cab. Other members of the family were florists, passed on from mother to daughter. My mother would've liked to have had a florist shop, she liked floristry but dad convinced her that having a shop of her own would be a tie and he liked his freedom to come and go when he pleased.

Lovely historic pictures of London, interesting how many men  were wearing beards in those days.
