I've been saying for a long time that stretching is better for people than walking. Some new research today proves that half an hour of stretching a day is more effective at reducing blood pressure than a brisk walk. Stretching reduces stiffness in the arteries and increases blood flow.
The report shares that the average age of people involved in the study was 61, it was designed to look at the impact of different exercise types on older sufferers of stage one hypertension.
I don't suffer from HBB but it is great to know that stretching is working for people that have it.
I have been stretching today, I've also been dancing while stretching. Stretch those wings, stretch those legs. Babies and animals also like to stretch themselves.
