Mobile Donkey Library - Ethiopia

People that have grown up with books and libraries know how important literature and literacy is to a child and their enjoyment of life. In this video of Yohannes Gebregiorgis you can see the sheer joy on the faces of the children in Ethiopia holding the books.

'In the Ethiopian town of Awassa an Ethiopian-American man returned to his roots and to the land of his birth. To help children who are hungry for books and reading. Yohannes making a difference to the lives of children in Ethiopia. The greater the love that you are - the greater the causes that you are given. He had a lovely idea of introducing his 'Mobile Donkey Library'.

I do like donkeys very much and loved to ride them as a child. However - in Ethiopia the children were more interested in the books than the donkeys.

Congratulations on your success Yohannes and bless you for helping the children of Ethiopia.

That then reminds me of the dream where the American white man's culture was distant from those on my right. How the man of color with afro-hair moved from my left to my right side - and we walked together for awhile. Prior to the engagement party with friends. One could say that Yohannes did move from left to right.
