A great speech from Suella Braverman on her lead to reform the UN Refugee Convention signed by member nations. It was originally published in 1951 after WW2 and she puts forward a case that the convention is not fit for purpose in the 21st century and that it has to be reformed. Uncontrolled migration is not sustainable and Suella explains the reasons why.
She is leading the conversation and is having meetings with people in the same position in other countries to obtain a concensus. 780M people have stated an interest in moving west.
When the Daily Telegraph journalist asked if she can't obtain the desired reform, would we leave the convention, she is certainly not ruling it out during her last statement. "We will do whatever it takes".
