Bob Kerslake Quits NHS

"The former head of the civil service has quit a senior job in the NHS as the Government is failing to understand the scale of the under-funding in the health service".

Bob Kerslake was the chairman of the board at King's College hospital in London.

That's a gift for Theresa May isn't it, no, no, no to the privatisation plans for the NHS. They keep on saying that "There's no money", yet Theresa offers the EU £40BN that our NHS requires. Some people that support the STP's, are going around saying that the NHS is larger than it has ever been.

My response to those people is this: "How is it then that in the late 80's, we had 340,000 hospital beds and now we only have 130,000 beds nationally, at a time when we have experienced a massive population explosion. How do you expect our doctors and nurses to manage with far less facilities than they had three decades ago. Did you know that they laid off 8,000 doctors in 2007-8. Do you know that since 2013, over 300,000 care workers have been on zero-hour contracts, that's not a job, that's casual labour.
