So what's happening in Greece? Christos D. Katsanos from DKG Group anticipates many more greenhouses being built in Greece. That would definitely impact on reducing their trade deficit, when they can grow all of the food that they require on land. It has been most popular in northern Greece, and Crete have also moved ahead with it.

Air flow appears to one of their major issues to overcome between May and September, natural ventilation is essential, although I'm sure that our airflow guys could overcome that. Engineers from our H&V industry were top notch, last I heard, one of our guys was retiring to France.
In Italy I also met an engineer from a farming family that was even teaching people in Africa how to make solar run fridges and washing machines. He had a solar and wind company prior to returning to Italy to help the family on the farm.
