I'd been viewing the latest information from the IDF and preparing to attend an appointment for Reflexology and I was taking a divine gift with me to give to the therapist. It was divine providence because the therapist has a life changing decision to make.
It was 2.30pm when I received the message "LEVON". In Armenian it means LION and it was the name of an Armenian Christian King. In Hebrew, it can mean "Joined", or "Attached". The word appears to have originated from the name of the tribe of Levi. Different translations can be found in different countries, and it can be found in 13th century, in Spain, spelt in different ways. For instance, Levien, pronounced "Lay-vee-en". The Sephardic name Levim too.

Elton John released a song titled LEVON.
There is something going on in the Armenian quarter in Israel, a property developer leased some land to build a hotel and the Armenians are against the building of the hotel in that part of the old city. I agree there shouldn't be a hotel built in the old city of Jerusalem, so close to ancient churches.
The investor involved in this is an Australian-Israeli, Danny Rothman who is partnered with Emirati hotel group and they managed to obtain a 99 year lease from an Armenian priest that has since been defrocked over it. He is now living in solitude in America.
They plan to build on the car park and limestone fortress of Armenian apartments and shops to build a luxury hotel. The 2,000 Armenians that live there are outraged and they could face eviction if the plan proceeds. Of course, in Israel anywhere that anything is built has to be excavated first.
This article from Times of Israel states that very little is known about Rothman and he has used another name too, Rubenstein. He is linked to Cyprus and the article also cites Linkedin, his hotel company was formed in the UAE. Xana Capital was registered in Israel in 2021. You can read more on the link.
If I remember correctly, the scripture is clear about the LORD's intent for Jerusalem and it certainly wasn't for property developers to build hotels within its walls. Strictly speaking, there is not even meant to be any shops there. It is meant to be a holy place that is residential for the poor, elderly and places of worship. Armenians, please remember why Jesus became cross with the money changers in his Father's house.
It sounds to me like the Armenian Church required money and the priest that was defrocked was the scapegoat. However, this ancient historical site should be protected by UNESCO so that none of it is sold to anyone. I hope that the Israeli' government will step in and put a stop to the plan to build a hotel in the Armenian quarter. Although I appreciate how busy they are right now.
This podcast was uploaded in June 2023. It says there is a 1,000 Armenians living in the Armenian quarter, the residents have decreased from 2,000. If the lease is not revoked by the Armenian Church, it means that the Armenians would lose a large chunk of their quarter, which would mean that it wouldn't be a quarter of the old city anymore. The Armenians are fighting to retain their presence in the old city that goes back has far as the 4th century.
